Two More Greenfield University Students Killed In Kaduna

Two more Greenfield University students have been killed by their abductors, raising the death toll to five. The Kaduna State government announced their deaths on Monday. The kidnapper had killed three of the students on Friday.

The private university in Kaduna state was attacked by gunmen Tuesday last week when an unspecified number of students were abducted. Some reports say, twenty students were kidnapped last Tuesday along with three non-academic staff in the Chikun area of the state.

The state government says it is saddened by what it calls “evil perpetrated against innocent students abducted while pursuing their education for a glorious future.”

Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai is demanding the arrest and prosecution of kidnappers. His policy is not to negotiate with abductors or pay ransom.
