Manchester United striker, Edinson Cavani could face a three-game ban if the Football Association finds him guilty of using the racist language, “gracias negrito,” in an Instagram story he shared on Sunday evening.
The FA says it is investigating the post, which was published shortly after United’s 3-2 win against Southampton.
At the start of this season, the fa issued fresh guidelines on racist language and behaviour on social media, with offences carrying a minimum ban of three matches.

Chelsea have sacked Frank Lampard after a poor showing that put the English club in ninth position on the premier league table.
Players have been told not to go to the training ground until Monday afternoon. Lampard is the tenth manager sacked during the Roman Abramovich era.
His termination was confirmed after the club took decisive action following a torrid run of five losses in eight league games.
Abramovich described Lampard as a “man of great integrity,” but says it is best to change managers when the club is in mid-table.
Lampard will be replaced by former Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund manager, Thomas Tuchel.

South African boxer, Ryno Liebenberg says he will donate his entire fight purse to a children’s charity when he takes to the ring in the last fight of his decade-long career. The gesture has been met with overwhelming support and has seen members of the public reach out to donate even more.
The thirty-seven-year-old family man says he was inspired to donate his purse by his young family and will be writing the names of other contributors on his white fight shorts which he will leave unbranded for the fight, to increase the donation amount.
Liebenberg boasts a record with 20 wins, seven defeats and one draw. He has fought all over the world, including Monte Carlo, Sweden and Germany.

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard ‘is poised to be sacked on Monday after a run of mediocre results that sees them placed 9th on the premier league log.
According to report by The Daily Telegraph, Lampard is set to be sacked less than 24 hours after the Blues’ FA Cup victory over Luton Town.
Lampard who has been under pressure lately following losses to Everton, Wolves Manchester City and Leicester respectively, and a draw to Aston Villa has made his stay at Stamford bridge an uncertainty.
The confirmation of his sack could come as early as Monday afternoon as the club take decisive action to appoint his successor to put the club back to winning ways.
