Tennis Player Naomi Osaka Wears A Mask In Memory Of Elijah McClain

Naomi Osaka is still seeking an end to racial injustice as she stepped onto the Arthur Ashe court wearing a mask featuring the name of Elijah McClain ahead of her US Open second round victory over Camila Giorgi.

23-year-old African-American man, McClain, died after being detained by police officers in Aurora, Colorado last year.

Osaka had previously worn a mask honoring Breonna Taylor, a black woman killed by police officers who burst into her apartment in March.

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar has been handed a two-match ban following his dismissal against Olympique Marseille last weekend.

Neymar was expelled from the match for slapping the I’OM defender on the back of the head.

Neymar then accused his opponent of directing racial slurs at him during their exchange, taking to social media to call for action to be taken against the Spanish defender.

European cup former winners, Benfica, crashed out of the 2020/2021 UEFA champions league third qualifying round on Tuesday.

Serbia winger, Andrija Zivkovic, scored against his former club Benfica a week after leaving them.

Dynamo Kiev also advanced to the play-off round with a 2-nil home win over Dutch side Az Alkmaar.

FIFA Threatens Legal Action Against Walking Football World Cup Organizers Over Name

FIFA have threatened the Federation of International Walking Football Associations (FIWFA) with legal action over their logo and plans to hold a World Cup.

The sport of walking football was started to encourage older persons to stay active and fit.
