Novak Djokovic Tests Positive For Virus

Novak Djokovic has on Tuesday tested positive for the coronavirus after taking part in a tennis exhibition series he organized in Serbia and Croatia becoming the second victim of the disease from his tournament.

Djokovic left Croatia after the final was cancelled and was tested in Belgrade, with that test returning a positive result. His wife also tested positive.

Djokovic said in a statement “the moment we arrived in Belgrade we went to be tested. My result is positive, just as Jelena’s, while the results of our children are negative.”

Earlier, ANN reported professional tennis player Grigor Dimitrov tested positive for covid-19.

Djokovic has been criticized for organizing the tournament and bringing in players from other countries.

Frank de Boer has been given a two-year contract as Netherlands head coach to replace Ronald Koeman.

Frank de Boer won 112 caps and played at two world cups for the Netherlands.

Barcelona Agree To Sell Striker Luis Suárez To Atlético Madrid

Barcelona have agreed to let striker Luis Suarez join La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid.

The Uruguayan agreed terms on a reduced salary with atletico after a move to Juventus fell through because of passport issues.

Reports say Barcelona chairman Josep Maria Bartomeu blocked the deal because he did not wish to sell to a Spanish rival.

But, after meeting with Suarez’s representatives, the Catalan club backed down, with the striker threatening to air his grievances to the media.
