La Liga Trains Women Football Coaches In Nigeria

La Liga have provided two master class sessions for coaches in Nigeria Women’s Football League.

La Liga’s coaching methodology comprises of some adapted and selected content from its original programme that consists of a series of in-person courses presented in different levels of complexity, from the grassroots to the elite.  It also focuses on the specialties of women’s football.

Danish Cup Final Suspended After Fans Fail To Socially Distance

The Danish Cup final was suspended for 14 minutes as a group of ultras ignored social distancing rules.

Aalborg and Sonderjyske were both given 725 tickets each for fans at the final at the neutral Esbjerg stadium, so long as they sat one metres apart.

Aalborg lost 2-nil to Sonderjyske with Anders Jacobsen scoring twice against his old club.

It is the first major trophy in Sonderjyske’s history.

Africa Cup Of Nations Postponed Until 2022

Executive committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has postponed the next edition of Africa Cup of Nations to 2022 to which Cameroon retains hosting rights.

With the 2019-2020 season for the champions league and confederation cup already at the semi-final stage, CAF has announced Cameroon and Morocco will respectively host the semi-final and final of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.

The 2020 Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) has been cancelled.

Valencia Sack Manager Albert Celades And Sporting Director Resigns

Valencia have sacked manager Albert Celades after only nine months in charge, while sporting director Cesar Sanchez resigns.

Voro Gonzalez has immediately replaced Celades as manager until the end of the season.

Celades is the sixth manager to be dismissed since Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim bought the club in 2014, while Sanchez who was appointed in January is the sixth sporting director to leave in the same period.
