Nike has on Wednesday unveiled the new home and away jerseys named ‘Swoosh’ for Nigeria’s national football team.
The American sport wear manufacturer, Nike made the announcement in a statement released on their official website on Wednesday, also released were the designs for the United States and South Korea.
With previous designs for the Super Eagles, the manufacturer enjoyed immense success with a record-breaking sales ahead of its release before the 2018 World Cup.
Nike stated “the extensive array of federations donning the Swoosh each have unique histories and cultures,” adding that “in 2020, their distinctive attributes are celebrated with highly differentiated collections.”
In the statement via its website, Nike added “building upon the learnings from the successful 2018 Nigeria Collection, Nike undertook deep cultural immersions and collaborated with each federation to ensure the designs truly resonated.”

AFN Awaits World Athletics Decision After Appeal Court Ruling
World Athletics is expected to rule on whether Ibrahim Gusau remains the president of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria.
On Friday, the court had dismissed an appeal filed by the ministry of youth and sports development.
The AFN had been in crisis after the wing of the federation led by Gusau declared autonomy from the sports ministry last December.
Another faction led by Gusau’s vice president, Olamide George, suspended him as president.
Frank de Boer Replaces Ronald Koeman As Netherlands Coach
Frank de Boer has been given a two-year contract as Netherlands head coach to replace Ronald Koeman.
Frank de Boer won 112 caps and played at two world cups for the Netherlands.
Former defender de Boer, who also played for Barcelona and ajax, won a record four successive Dutch league titles as coach of ajax between 2011 and 2014.
Barcelona Agree To Sell Striker Luis Suárez To Atlético Madrid
Barcelona have agreed to let striker Luis Suarez join La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid.
The Uruguayan agreed terms on a reduced salary with atletico after a move to Juventus fell through because of passport issues.
Reports say Barcelona chairman Josep Maria Bartomeu blocked the deal because he did not wish to sell to a Spanish rival.
But, after meeting with Suarez’s representatives, the Catalan club backed down, with the striker threatening to air his grievances to the media.
