Coalition of Public Interest Lawyers and Advocates, COPA, says circumstances surrounding the allegation of fraud against the former senator are vague.  It says basis for the senator’s guilt should first be established before undertaking a public trial. It suggests senator Sani’s frequent criticism of the state and federal governments may have marked him as an enemy of those he opposes. COPA says EFCC should act impartially and by the law at all times.
